Things to know
- Cold lamination only. Use pressure-sensitive laminates only, and do not use warm or hot lamination. Let prints dry for at least 48 hours before laminating. Lamination improves UV resistance and abrasion protection, and only pressure-sensitive laminates are recommended for outdoor use.
- Printing conditions. Print at 15-25°C and 35-65% RH, and acclimatise the media for 24 hours beforehand. Handle with cotton gloves and keep the film clear of grease, oil, silicone and dirt. Load the media carefully, calibrate and test print first. Use a take-up device, and an external drying unit is recommended for high-speed production.
- Application. Apply to smooth, flat, clean, grease-free surfaces, and not to freshly lacquered surfaces. Apply above 10°C. The film is suitable for wet surfaces, and temporary whitening may appear but disappears once the adhesive is fully dry. Pretest on unknown surfaces.
- Storage. Shelf life is 2 years at 15-25°C and 35-65% RH. Repack opened rolls and store them on hanging fixtures in the box.
- Removal. Start at a corner and peel slowly at 60-90°. A hot-air blower or metal scraper can help, used with caution. Remove residue with a lemon-based cleaner or a solvent (heptane, isopropyl alcohol or acetone).
- No MSDS required. No Material Safety Data Sheet is required for this film.
